Our Parish has a long history of sponsoring BSA units – Boy Scouts/Troop 6 since 1931 and Cub Scouts/Pack 6 since 1946. Boy Scouts, an all-boys troop, accepts scouts in grades 6 through high school, and Cub Scouts, boys and girls, accepts scouts in Kindergarten through grade 5. In 2026, we added an all-girls troop, Scouting America, that accepts scouts in grades 6 through high school.
Our goals are to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime. Scouting works to instill citizenship, character, fitness, and leadership, all wrapped in an outdoor program designed for fun. The advancement program allows scouts the opportunity to earn religious awards in addition to program-level advancement. Boy Scouts meet weekly, while Cub Scouts meet twice per month (and a parent or guardian must attend with their Cub(s)). In addition to regular meetings, there are opportunities for participation in overnight camping trips, canoeing trips, biking trips, and many community and service-based activities.
Parent(s)/guardian(s) of interested children are encouraged to call the Rectory (973-226-0221) or email the leaders directly:
